Regional Cancer Center has been bringing expert cancer care close to home for patients in the northwestern Pennsylvania region since 1987 and is affiliated with UPMC Cancer Centers, one of the largest integrated community networks of cancer physicians and health care specialists in the country. Regional Cancer Center’s working relationship with UPMC Cancer Centers facilitates an exchange of information to integrate our community cancer center with the resources of one of the top academic programs in the country, collaborating to bring comprehensive and state-of-the-art treatment innovations and services to our patients.

Medical Assistant


Summary: Direct patients to treatment rooms and gather pertinent information, vital signs, etc., prior to physician’s arrival. Pull charts and insures all required information is available to insure efficient and effective use of time. Assist nurses as required. Prepare and re-stock supplies for treatment rooms.

RN Clinic Coordinator - Prostate/GYN (Part Time)


Summary: The clinic coordinator’s primary function is serving as patient care coordinator (tumor site specific) guiding patients through the health care system from diagnosis to the decision to start treatment by assisting with access issues, developing relationships with service providers, and tracking interventions and outcomes. Functions as a member of an interdisciplinary team, serving as clinical resource and consultant to members of the healthcare team and provides staff development.

Medical Oncology Practice RN (Full Time)


Summary: The Medical Oncology Practice Nurse has the authority, responsibility, and accountability for the delivery of nursing care through the use of the nursing process. The Medical Oncology Practice Nurse works within the Physician led Patient Care Team to apply competent clinical knowledge and skills to achieve quality care outcomes for the medical oncology patients and, provides education and emotional support to patients/family; collaborates with RCC staff members and other health care providers to facilitate comprehensive health care services.

The Medical Oncology Practice Nurse must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care that is relevant to patients under their care, as well as apply principles of growth and development over the life span. The Medical Oncology Practice Nurse also must possess the ability to assess and interpret patient data needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his or her age specific needs.
