The Regional Cancer Center has been bringing expert cancer care close to home for patients in the northwestern Pennsylvania region since 1987 and is affiliated with UPMC Cancer Centers, one of the largest integrated community networks of cancer physicians and health care specialists in the country. The Regional Cancer Center’s working relationship with UPMC Cancer Centers facilitates an exchange of information to integrate our community cancer center with the resources of one of the top academic programs in the country, collaborating to bring comprehensive and state-of-the-art treatment innovations and services to our patients.

Mid Level Provider - Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking talented candidates for a full time physician assistant or certified registered nurse practitioner opportunity. As a mid level provider, you will be working under the supervision of a physician to assist in the medical care of patients in an outpatient oncology setting. Mid level providers follow established standards, procedures, and practices at the respective hospitals and give specific patient care directions to nursing and other staff. Additional responsibilities include conducting follow-up examinations, diagnosing and treating health problems, and providing healthcare education to patients and families. EOE.

Administrative and Clinical Case Coordinator

This position is responsible for supporting the Oncology Clinical Case Conferences (a/k/a Cancer Conference) held at The RCC, UPMC Hamot and Saint Vincent Hospital in accordance with the standards of the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer. Also responsible for providing any and all administrative/clerical support to carry out duties and responsibilities of the position to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Center. Responsible for coordinating special projects as directed. Professionally interfaces with staff, physicians, board members, hospital and other clinic representatives, community leaders and dignitaries.

Research Program Manager

The Research Program Manager is responsible for direct oversight of all research activities within the program to include supervision of Clinical Research Coordinators, Clinical Research Associates, and Regulatory Personnel and any other positions in the Clinical Research Department. This position will work closely with RCC leadership, ancillary department managers and IRB personnel.

Clinical Research Coordinator

In collaboration with the Investigator, evaluates patients for entry into clinical trials. Screens, enrolls and follows patients on study. The Clinical Research Coordinator acts as the resident expert for clinical trials and provides education and guidance to patients, family, staff and investigators and works with the patient’s care team to track, access and manage symptoms and treatment side effects.
